Stealth Rotary Tattoo Machine Review

A lot of tattoo artists were raised on coil tattoo machines and swear by them, but after seeing how popular rotary tattoo machines have gotten it’s only natural to be interested in checking what all the buzz is about. Most of us, however, don’t what to make a sizable investment into something we want to “check out”. So we went looking for the best affordable rotary tattoo machine we could find, and that’s what brought us to this Stealth Rotary Tattoo Machine.

Stealth Rotary Tattoo Machine

This Stealth Rotary Tattoo Machine doubles as both a liner and shader making it great for any job. It’s made from a hard composite plastic that makes the machine almost weightless. The machine comes with a 3mm swing. Stealth makes the claim that it is noiseless. We’re gonna put it to the test and see just how right they are!

What’s Great about Stealth Rotary Tattoo Machine?

A lot of the great things about this Stealth Rotary Tattoo machine are things that come with the territory of being a rotary tattoo machine. First off, It really is as light as they say! It’s only 3 oz and when you compare that to the 8-10 oz of a coil tattoo machine, you’re talking literally a third of the weight. It just floats in your hand, which is great for a long day of tattooing.

Also, with the territory of rotary’s come no tuning or adjustments needed, everything is ready to go.

Some might think that a plastic frame is a bad thing, but although the frame is made of plastic, it’s a hard composite that makes it actually rather sturdy.

Once you set it up how you want it to run, it has the potential to replace your favorite machine, and for the price, you just can’t beat it.

The downsides of Stealth Rotary Tattoo Machine?

To get the best out of this machine you’re going to have to run it at a rather high speed, and doing so brings me to my next point. It’s not as noiseless as you would hope with a rotary, especially running it at the speed required to get it to hit the hardest while you’re doing line work.

Also, it didn’t tighten that well around the needle—the screws comes loose occasionally—but this is a very minor issue and will a little attentiveness you won’t ever have to worry about it.

Pros

  • Great Price
  • Practically weightless

Cons

  • Not as noiseless as it claims
  • Screws come loose occasionally

Overall if you’re looking for the best affordable rotary tattoo machine I would have to definitely recommend you give this machine a go. While there are a few downsides, what you’re getting far outweighs them. However, if you are looking for a rotary machine because you want a machine that is going to run quietly all day long, then I would have to say this isn’t the machine for you.
